Age placement at AICS is guided by the student’s date of birth, previous school records, curriculum background, and academic readiness. Our admissions team helps parents understand the appropriate year group before beginning the application process.
Correct placement is important because it allows each student to learn at the right level, feel confident among peers, and progress successfully through the British Curriculum pathway.
Young learners are placed according to age, early development, independence, communication skills, and school readiness.

The entrance assessment helps us understand each student’s current academic level, learning strengths, and areas where support may be needed. The assessment is not designed to create pressure, but to help the school make the right placement decision and provide the right support from the beginning.
Assessment requirements may vary depending on the student’s year group and previous educational background.
